The procedure for small weeds is as below:

1. Pour 1 gallon of vinegar(preferably white vinegar)into a bucket. 5 percent white vinegar is fine. You won’t need higher, more expensive concentrations such as 10 or 20 percent. 

It may take two or three days longer to kill the weeds with the lower concentration, but they will die.

2. Add 1 cup of table salt. Stir the solution with a spoon until all the salt dissolves completely.

3. Stir in 1 tablespoon of liquid soap. This will make the vinegar and salt solution stick to the weeds more efficiently. It will also breakdown the oils in the leaves, making for better penetration. Mix very well.

4. Put the mixture into a container of your choice. A bottle with applicator tip is suggested to make it easy to use.

5. Spray the weeds on a hot day. Target the leaves and bases. Be careful about your surroundings. You do not want this to touch any desirable plants.

For larger,more stubborn weeds,follow the same procedure but use 20 to 30 percent vinegar instead.
